Bridgeville & Delaware City Compressor Stations
The Client has been serving the natural gas transportation needs of the Delmarva Peninsula since 1959.
The Client is the interstate natural gas pipeline subsidiary of Chesapeake Utilities Corporation. ESNG was experiencing increased demand and needed to invest in more capacity. To meet demand, they required engineering, design and construction support services to design and build two new compressor stations in Bridgeville and Delaware City.
TAI’s extensive experience with natural gas processing and similar installation projects of this calibur ensured the full coordination of resources and resulted in the cost-effective design and successful installation. Specifically, (3) CAT 3606 / Ariel 4 Compressor Packages.
Key Project Responsibilities
TAI worked closely with the Client to meet the project requirements and minimize risk through the application of the following principles:
TAI provided project management, mechanical engineering, process engineering, architectural / structural engineering, electrical engineering, and automation & control engineering as well as design services. TAI managed relationships with other subcontractors which included geotechnical, surveying, civil (related to erosion & sediment control) and utility location services for both compressor stations.
