TAI provided electrical, mechanical, and structural design for a truck inspection station at Fort Detrick, MD. The design consisted of a guard house, truck inspection canopy, security cameras, intrusion detection, access control, canopy and site lighting, generator and UPS backup, power distribution, active vehicle barriers, and telecommunications. In addition to the design services, TAI provided project management of sub-consultants and equipment vendor designs, as well as equipment submittal reviews, RFI response, and construction inspection. TAI coordinated the design with onsite government personnel as well as the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. TAI served as the prime designer (designer of record) and led all aspects of design, including oversight of other disciplines (civil engineer & equipment). TAI was involved in all aspects of the project, from initial project kick-off through final construction inspection.
