The Client is a paper and packaging company based in Richmond, VA.
The installation included raw material storage silos; modular skid mounted cooling units, chillers, cooling towers, new electrical service and switchgear, structural bridge cranes for materials and equipment handling and Programmable Logic Control. The manufacturing facility is used 24/7 to provide injection molding capabilities. This 100,000 plus square foot facility houses 22 injection molding machines, raw material and finished product warehouses, automated finished product handling equipment, and all utilities.
TAI provided engineering, design, and construction administration for the project. Civil, structural, mechanical, process, electrical, and automation & controls services were provided. TAI completed preliminary design, cost estimation, construction documents, specifications, building permit application, construction inspection, contractor monitoring, shop drawing review and as-built documentation.
Evaluated structural requirements for support of new equipment, including silo, cooling tower, an injection molding machines.
Provided a structural/civil narrative description of the scope of work that a contractor completed for this project.
