TAI provided the initial feasibility study and the projecting scope for expansion for the storage of high proof spirits. TAI provided design and construction for this project. TAI worked with the Client to install a new product storage and processing system at the plant and supported this project from concept through start-up. All process, mechanical, electrical and structural design was later provided by TAI as a turnkey E+P+C project in which the design included a rail car unloading area, four (4) 100k gallon bulk tanks, and in-line blending, chilling, and filtering system. This project also included new VFD and PLC cabinets. TAI provided full systems integration support including design, installation, programming, training, and commissioning and start-up.
TAI fabricated a new 100,000 gallon tank, on-site, and installed four (4) 100,000 gallon bulk tanks. TAI built the tank foundation and containment structure, installed tank ancillary equipment and rail car receiving capabilities, implemented instrumentation, piping, and integrating the tanks into existing systems. Additionally, TAI relocated an existing roadway, implemented new fire protection, and constructed a new in-line blending/chilling/filtering system. Operations associated with the new installation were also fully automated. This continuous in-line blending system represented a paradigm shift for the plant, as previous operations were performed in a batch mode.
