TAI provided the design for replacement of six (6) air handling units (approx. 25-ton each) within an occupied medical office building. The air handling units were equipped with water side economizers and hot water reheat coils. In addition, the condenser water pumps were replaced, and the entire existing pneumatic control system in the building was replaced with a new DDC control system. The controls upgrade included equipment such as VAV terminal units, various fans, pumps, control valves, control dampers, domestic water heater, fire pump, generator and automatic transfer switches. An architectural component on the project involved replacement of mechanical room floors, and removal and installation of some walls in order to maneuver the air handling units into the mechanical room.
