Mark J. Welker — Colonel, United States Army
Military Service: 36 years
Mr. Welker is a consultant in TAI’s Mechanical Division, specializing in Dehumidification. Enlisted in 1973, appointed to West Point in 1975 and commissioned in 1979.
He retired in 2009.
Deployment Assignments:
- Operation Urgent Fury Support from Green Ramp at Fort Bragg, NC (Oct 83, 82nd ABN DIV)
- Bosnia (1997, Peacekeeping PSYOP Operations), Afghanistan (2004, OPCON to CENTCOM)
David Michael — Master Sergeant, United States Air Force
Military Service: 20 years
Mr. Michael is a Calibration Technician in TAI’s Electronic Calibration Lab and Metrology Division.
Deployment Assignments:
- Three months in Saudi Arabia Kobar Tower
- Two years in Osan AB Korea
- Three years in Kadena AB Japan
- Three years in Aviano Italy
John Grichuhin — Chief Petty Officer, E7, United States Navy
Military Service: 20 years
Mr. Grichuhin is a Senior Commissioning Engineer in TAI’s Commissioning Division. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1970 – 1984.

Terry Whipple — Sergeant, United States Marine Corps, USMC
Military Service: 12 years
Mr. Whipple is a Project Manager in TAI’s Building and Facilities Division. He was a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps USMC, 8 years active and 4 years reserves with multiple deployments, operations and campaign.
JT Junio, Electrician's Mate (E6) — First Class, United States Navy
Military Service: 11 years
Mr. Junio is an Electrical Designer in TAI’s Instrumentation and Controls Engineering Division. He was active with the U.S. Navy from Mar 1977 – Sep 1985 and in The U.S. Navy Reserves from Sep 1985 – Jan 1988. He is also a volunteer First Tee Coach @ Fairway Hills GC in Columbia, MD.
Deployment Assignments:
- 1977-1978 USS INDEPENDENCE CV-62 (AIRCRAFT CARRIER);
- 1978-1980 USS L.Y. SPEAR AS-36 (SUBMARINE TENDER);
- 1980-1984 USS NORTON SOUND AVM-1 (MISSILE-LAUCHING PLATFORM); and
- 1984-1985 PORT SERVICES, PORT HUENEME, CA.
Darryl “Doc” Thompson — Staff Sergeant (E5), United States Air Force
Military Service: 10 years
Mr. Thompson is a Manager in TAI’s Calibration Lab and was on active duty in the Air Force for 10 years, 1 month, 6 days.
Deployment Assignments:
- 1985-1993 Bergstrom AFB Texas 67th Reconnaissance Wing, 67th Component Repair Squadron
- Support of Operation Desert Storm 1990-1991.
- 1993-1995 Moody AFB, Valdosta, Georgia, 347th Fighter Wing, 347th Component Repair Squadron.
