TAI worked as the mechanical and electrical subconsultant for the design and engineering improvements of two secure rooms and one server room for the Client’s facility in Columbia, Maryland. TAI provided engineering, design and CAD documentation services required to complete construction permit drawings. Work specific to the electrical design included:

• Field survey of existing area conditions related to power available to supply new electrical loads
• Performed load calculations to determine new power requirements
• Provided lighting design
• Provided the design for a power filter for the secure areas
• Provided design for the power receptacle layout for all areas
• Provided design for modifications to the existing fire alarm device layout
• Provided the infrastructure design for comms, AV, and security systems limited to in wall and surface mounted conduits
• Provided the design for cable tray
• Provided design for relocation to the existing conduit and panelboards located with the space that was renovated
