The Client needed construction permit drawings for design of a new amphitheater to include ventilation and electrical needs that included a field survey of existing conditions for power supply of the new electrical loads.
TAI provided mechanical and electrical design as well as provisions for solar panels and exterior lighting to complete construction permit drawings for the Client in Pasadena, MD. The existing smaller amphitheater was demolished and a new larger amphitheater designed. It included a covered stage, two dressing rooms, storage room, IT and Solar Electric Room, stairs and ADA access to the stage.
TAI submitted design and construction documents for use in permitting and construction and designed ventilation for the stage and dressing rooms via natural ventilation as well as design for local control systems. For electrical needs, TAI conducted a field survey of the existing area conditions related to power available to supply new electrical loads and performed the following:
- Load calculations to determine new power requirements
- Lighting design based on an initial layout by the Architect
- Coordinated power requirements with BGE and provided load letter
- Provided design for power receptacle layout based on an initial layout by the Architect
- Provided design for power to new mechanical equipment
- Provided design for lighting below the canopy and on the exterior of the building
- Provided infrastructure for canopy mounted display screens, theater lighting and sound system
- Provided infrastructure for solar panel connection
