TAI supplied mechanical/plumbing engineering, sprinkler design, electrical engineering, process engineering, structural engineering, and construction administration for the conversion of an approximately 50,000 sf three-story building to a CDMO cGMP manufacturing facility, including designing 20,000 sf of clean room space, in Rockville, MD. The project included cGMP Grade C manufacturing suites, Grade D support areas, a QC Laboratory, as well as office /administration areas. Engineering included GMP laboratory planning, process control design, structural floor and beam upgrades, custom rooftop air handling units, custom exhaust air handling units, energy recovery, a water-cooled chiller plant, a full facility standby generator, an RO/DI USP purified water system, a WFI generation and distribution system, plant and pure steam generation, a biological waste system, laboratory compressed air, laboratory vacuum, bulk carbon dioxide, bulk nitrogen, bulk oxygen, and liquid nitrogen systems.
