ABOUT: The Client is the world’s leading manufacturer of premium alcohol brands across spirits, beer and wine.
The Client invested more than $50 million in this now world class manufacturing operation in Relay, Maryland since 2012. Major renovations of the 60 acre site began in March 2012 and were completed on time and on budget with an exemplary safety record. The Relay plant is geared to be one of the Client’s most efficient processing facilities globally and is currently produces approximately 11 million cases per year.
TAI was tasked with several different projects for this alcoholic beverage / spirits manufacturer, some of which were simultaneously being performed at their Baltimore, MD plant. Most notable was the in-line blending, chilling and filtering. The full scope of this project included several new 100,000-gallon tanks, and containment structure, installing tank ancillary equipment and rail car receiving capabilities. The increased storage supported three (3) new high-speed bottling lines and upgrades to key processing systems. TAI was instrumental in designing a new in-line blending / chilling / filtering system. Operations associated with the new installation were fully automated and design by TAI. This continuous in-line blending system represented a paradigm shift for the plant, as previous operations were performed in a batch mode. This project were performed on a design-build basis.

A distillery company located in Baltimore, MD, which produces rye whiskey, was in need of some engineering, design and startup / commissioning for there new distillery process.
