Dan founded TAI on March 18, 1989. He entered the industry fifteen years prior, through a cooperative education program at Drexel University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. He completed his cooperative education at Koppers Company, which then hired him full-time. At Koppers, he managed one of the firm’s largest single contracts in history.
For 30 years, Dan has led his own firm, guided by three tenets: engineering excellence, a constant commitment to employees and clients, and service to society. Today he establishes macro objectives for the firm, and he instills the firm’s long-held company culture:
- Exceed expectations for professionalism, technical expertise, quality and value
- Employ an ethical, reputable, motivated and highly qualified staff
- Communicate openly and clearly amongst ourselves and with our clients
- Treat each other and our clients/vendors with respect and civility
- Invest in the tools and systems that encourage TAI and its individuals to excel
- Operate TAI with the highest standards of personal and professional integrity
Dan is a licensed Professional Engineer in Maryland, Kentucky and Virginia. Along with his Bachelor of Science degree from Drexel University, he holds a Master of Science degree in Environmental Engineering and a Master of Business Administration degree from Johns Hopkins University.
