Bachelors and Professional Engineering License preferred
 

Description of Responsibilities/Duties:

TAI has a current opening for a Structural engineer that possesses 15+ years of experience.  Experience shall include the design, analysis and management of projects relating to concrete and steel supports for heavy industrial, commercial and institutional buildings and structures.  Working knowledge of other material design applications must include timber, masonry, metals and fiberglass reinforced plastic.   Experience should include project management, inspection, structural design/analysis, familiarity with structural finite-element programs (preferably RISA 3-D), use of structural (AISC, ACI, AWS, NDS, CRSI, etc.) and building (International, ASCE, etc.) codes, use of OSHA regulations, construction cost estimating, contract document preparation, specification development and client interface.  Ability to perform field work and inspection is required.  Ability to use or work in AutoCAD a plus.  Candidate must have excellent oral, written and organizational skills with the ability to use Microsoft Office products and Adobe Acrobat.  Candidate must possess an active U.S. Professional Engineering license, state of MD license preferred.

15 years of experience in heavy industrial design
