TAI provided the complete Instrumentation and Electrical engineering services for the automation and upgrade of a batch mixing process at the client's facility. The services provided include the following:

• Specified Instrument and field devices.
• Developed electrical construction drawings, including PLC and RIO panel layout drawings for bid to local panel shops.
• Specified PLC Hardware (Allen-Bradley SLC-5/04) and interfaced processor with remote rack and smart feeder unit.
• Developed electrical and instrumentation specifications for contractor bid.
• Engineered additional stand-alone system controls with SLC-5/04 and integrated into network for HMI monitoring and control.
• Developed full functioning operator interface graphics utilizing RSView32 HMI software. Graphics included for monitoring and control, recipe management, alarming, trending, and regulatory reporting.
• Configured and started up K-tron feeder units.
• Performed HMI PC configuration and complete system I/O checkout, startup, and commissioning.

TAI continues to perform the engineering and control system maintenance support for the plant.
